RELEASE 12.29.0
July 9, 2026PlantPredict
PlantPredict MCP Server
PlantPredict now has an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, enabling AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT to drive PlantPredict workflows directly—creating modules, inverters, and weather files, building and running predictions, retrieving results, and more. Permissions are grouped into read, update, and delete categories so users can control what actions the AI is allowed to take. A Claude connector is available and uses standard PlantPredict login credentials. Access to the PlantPredict MCP server is currently only available to PlantPredict Pro subscribers, and can be made available while on a Free Trial license.SunSolve Integration—Time-Series Bifacial Factors (V13)
PlantPredict’s SunSolve integration now supports time-series bifacial factor inputs from PV Lighthouse SunSolve-Yield. When the SunSolve toggle is enabled, a second Time Series Bifacial Parameters toggle appears. Turning it on replaces the static factor values with hourly time series for three factors, selected from the time series library:- Structural Shading — rear irradiance loss from torque tubes, posts, clamps, and frames
- Transmission Gain — additional rear irradiance from light passing between modules and bays
- Combined Front + Back Mismatch — combined mismatch loss from non-uniform illumination on front and back of module
Improvements and Bug Fixes
- NSRDB PSM Model Version — Fixed a field-mapping bug where the Model Version displayed “mbar” (a pressure unit) instead of the actual NSRDB PSM model version.
- Bulk delete predictions — Fixed an issue where deleting multiple predictions always left exactly one prediction undeleted while the completion banner reported full success.
- Update DC Capacity button in Custom Array Editor — Fixed an issue where the Update DC Capacity button in the Map Builder Custom Array / Array Builder dialog did not respond when clicked.
- PVsyst import: inverter setpoint — Fixed an incorrect field mapping that caused the inverter Set Point kW to import at the nominal kVA rating instead of the correct rated AC power, producing wrong DC:AC ratios and energy yields in imported predictions.
- PVsyst import: bifacial mismatch warning — The import review page now displays a warning when an imported PVsyst module has a bifacial mismatch that may require manual review.
- Map Builder PVC export — X/Z axis swap — Fixed an issue where the X and Z axis labels could be swapped during the PVC export, causing the 3D scene to appear rotated 90°.
- Multi-year soiling losses (V13) — Fixed an issue where time-stamped soiling losses from a weather file were only applied to year 1 when using a year repeater; subsequent years showed zero soiling loss.
- PlantSummary8760 Plant Energy total — ESS (V13) — Fixed a regression where cell S13 showed Net Energy instead of Gross Energy in V13 ESS predictions, causing the total to not reconcile with the hourly column data.
- MET file upload — Added a success notification after uploading a standalone PVsyst
.METweather file. - Bulk delete banner — Fixed the success banner overlapping the page header after deleting multiple predictions.
